If you could quit your current job for your dream job, what would it be?

I currently work in the child welfare world, but I would love to be a full-time photographer or performer (singer).

Haha same here. I thought "No way will someone mention this!" and there we go. I even wanted to do the UPS cross-country mail-flyers. I'm definitely going to get my license and probably buy a plane too... in the future when I blow a huge chunk of money on something I shouldn't have. Rather than a motorcycle or boat however, its going to be a nice small plane.

What I do now (video commentator) is pretty nice except for the not-getting-paid part. If I could get paid enough to sort my debts and healthcare, I'd stay with this. My dream job is successful, *PAID* author.

I actually occasionally work with forensic nurses with my volunteer work. I have a great amount of respect for what they do! Nursing is also another thing I wish I had considered in college!

I would love to have a small outfitters store on the lake (or a nice inland lake) where I would have paddleboard rental (maybe kayak/canoes), a small retail store with my favorite brands, and a studio available for bootcamp/yoga/TRX/spin classes. I would also like to be a yoga teacher and hold classes in that space.

I would like to design costumes for Broadway shows. I mean, I'll be happy as long as I get to design costumes for any theatre anywhere (preferably New York, though) but obviously, Broadway is the dream.

I'm actually not sure. I want to be the direct person that could change someone's life......like a 911 dispatcher, or someone who helps someone walk after their new prosthetic leg, or someone who makes all the adjustments on a new hearing device and the person hears for the first time. A job that's a little more rewarding maybe.

My husband and I are doing it, we are dog trainers who board dogs in our homes and train them for their owners. Unfortunately, that doesn't pay the bills or provide insurance, so I have a regular 9-5 M-F job that I do for those benefits. My husband is disabled, so we have to have insurance or we would go bankrupt with medical bills.

That would be awesome!! My great grandma told me she worked for NASA and I always thought it was the coolest thing.

I wish NASA had not been cut to death. As it is, it's very sad to look around our community and see that people are struggling so much with the major cut-backs to the space program.

Maybe Space-X and the other privatized companies can make something out of the nothing that seems to be left of a once great program. :frown:

I went to college and got a cert in Early Childhood Education but, at this stage, I want to go back for nursing school. It'll be a little bit, sadly, because I think I'm due to be moving around a little in the next two years. But once I know I won't be packing up again for two years I'm getting it done.

My mom, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother are/were all nurses, so I think really I've always known it's where I want to end up.

My uncle was fortunate enough to have retired from NASA before seeing his beloved space program gutted.
