If you have the kitchen aid stand mixer they have a spiralizer attachment that works great!0

@Queenmunchy do you make pasta with? Or what?0
-
I sure do! I've been using it probably 3 times a week for 3 years. I love it
Best recipe collection is Inspiralized.com I've bought her cookbook with a spiralizer for 3 other people as gifts. The website is strictly spiralized vegetable recipes, and has over 20 kinds of vegetables used (not just zucchini!)0 -
@Queenmunchy do you find it a very satisfying way to feel like you are eating carbs when you are actually not eating much carbs?
Was wondering if I can get away with a cheap mandoline? What's the difference?

I feel satisfied, but I like vegetables, and this just gives me a basis to eat even more of them in a different way, even riced or as "buns." A mandoline would work too, but I just love how perfectly "noodled" the spiralizer is. I also use it so much that it's worth it to me.

I would suggest you just get the easy-to-find and cheap veggetti first. Make sure you actually like veggies prepared in this manner FIRST, before you spend $$$ on a fancy spiralizer.0

Thanks for that tip. I will likely do just that. Goodness knows I have a cupboard full of those gadgets that I regret purchasing.0

I've made zucchini linguine just with a knife and I like that pretty much...
Any related tricks? Sauces that go well?0 -

Turns out a friend of mine who lives very close has, as far as I can tell, the same one you have! Just sprialized a zucchini and a carrot! Wish me luck!0

Nice! Wow! I really feel like I ate pasta to my hearts content!
@Queenmunchy thank you thank you thank you thank you!
And I love that I can keep raw zucchini for 5 days in the refrigerator ready to put in a sauce and eat, instant meal! Reduce my temptation to eat carbs, which is what mostly keeps me from being leaner, I think...

Later today I plan to try to combine with better than bouillon pre-made stock to see if I can make noddle soup I like!
Some soup inspiration:

In short, the device I have here:

is easy to use and helped me far more than a knife make a low carb meal I just really enjoyed!
http://inspiralized.com/ is a great website!

I'm so glad you like it! It's been one of my favorite tools (along with that website) for quite a while. Huge portions, great flavor, and low calories. You can't ask for more!0

Other cool things you want to share with me, Oh wise one?
You just make a big contribution to my life, @Queenmunchy!0 -
