Hi all!
I am curious if you all consider resistance band workouts a good exercise? A few folks I know had great success toning up with their help.
Also, I was looking in the database for resistance bands and didn't see anything that would match. Suggestions?

It's hard to work the legs effectively with them, but for upper body, they can work, if you choose the right exercises. You might consider getting a pair of adjustable dumbbells too, to have a more complete workout.

Keep in mind "toning" is mostly about reducing body fat, and strength training only plays a minor role in that.

In the database, try counting the bands as low-impact aerobics.

Resistance bands con is that they don't offer eccentric contraction. The workout is progressive resistance. However any resistance training is better for health and fitness than doing none at all.
I will use resistance bands mostly for functional strength training with people who are rehabbing an injury. Other than that, I try to have them stick to "dead weight" like barbells and dumbells.
