Am I not eating enough?

ok today I just finished my first week of Insanity and holy crap that was torture but I already see some good results in my legs and arms.
But today when I did it, it felt sooo hard, like harder then any other day. So I'm wondering should I be eating more?
Right now I been eating about 1200-1500 cals a day and doing Insanity like 5-6 days a week and on top of that I work a part time job that requires me to stand on my feet a lot. According to my fitness pal I should only be eating less than 1200 calories a day if I work out 5 days a week. But if I should eat me how much more should I be eating? And will eating me more cause me to gain weight?

You need to fuel your body, and doing Insanity on 1200 calories probably won't work.
Your ticker says you only have a pound to lose? What are your stats?0 -

I don't think that's right. Are you tracking your exercise calories on MFP? Is so, MFP is set up for you to eat the exercise calories back.

It sounds like you set your exercise goals to workout 5 days a week and set your activity level to sedentary. Is that accurate? MFP doesn't use the exercise goals we enter as part of its calorie estimations. You can test this by going in and setting it higher or lower. Your calories won't change. The system doesn't take any exercise into account until you actually log that you've done it. You need to log it and eat back at least some of the extra calories you earn.0 -
If you've done 5 hard workouts so far this week, and you're not used to exercising at that level, you're probably just tired. Time for a day or two off!0

1 week, especially your first week, isn't really enough to make any assumptions about how your diet/exercise regime is going. I'd stick with your current plan for another week or 2 and then adjust calories and workouts based on your actual results (weight losses/gains, how you feel, recovery, etc).0

Yes. Tho there are some who suggest eating 50-75% back. You have to give a couple of weeks in order to gauge how much you should eat back.

Your base is 1200 and you should be eating a portion of your exercise calories as well.0

Definitely eat some of your exercise calories back. And eat healthy carbs before you work out it will help with energy. I will usually have a cup of oatmeal, or a banana with a tablespoon of peanut butter or some sweet potatoes and chicken before I work out (depending on what time of day it is). I wait about 15 minutes after I eat and then I hit it and I find that I have more energy and don't get worn out as quickly0

20-30% of your exercise calories is a good place to start, although it sounds as if you should be exercising or doing your insanity workouts every other day....Your body does need time to heal between sessions.0

I did insanity and had to up my calories about 300 per day. Otherwise I felt like I couldn't give 100% during the week and felt tired. Once I upped my food intake, I had tons of energy. Insanity is tough but doable. If you consistently feel like you hit a wall, however, you might need to look at adding more calories.0

Thanks! Sometimes I'll wake up and feel so weak and tired and not want to get out of bed. But that probably cause I'm sore too. But I started eating a bit more and I feel a little better. Just hope eating more doesn't stop me from losing the weight lol.
