How Many Calories Should I Be Taking In?

I was thinking about resetting my goals to take in 1400 calories a day instead of 1200 calories a day. I have had a really hard time losing weight at 1200 calories, it has been more like gaining. I workout 7 days a week for at least 30 minutes a day, most days a lot more and right now I'm at 173 lbs. I am always hesitant to up my calorie intake because I have had it drilled into my head that the fewer calories I eat the more weight I will lose. What does everyone think? Is 1400 a good goal to set? More? Less?

worth a try, or take 200 calories off the exercise regime to reduce stress - one day a week off perhaps ?0

Are you talking about "gross" calories or "net" of your workout?0

I have tried taking one day off a week as rest day but the problem with that is on my rest days I feel very slow moving. I have found that my body needs that am workout to kickstart my day.0
