Hey all!
I started insanity a week ago. Prior to that I did 9 sessions with a day break inbetween. Prior to that I was at the gym for a month swimming and tonning and other machines.
Since May I've lost no weight. My clothes are still tight and I'm looking like a baloon ready to burst.
When will I start seeing changes in myself? Am I rushing to want to see a change and it will come?
(Plz excuse my rant. lol)

Id expect you to have lost SOMETHING based on what you've said - provided your diet is good?0

Originally my diet was around 1200cal a day, sometimes a bit more sometimes a bit less wih the odd day off now and again (i.e. a party or something) . Generally fruits as snacks, if I am drinking a carbonated drink it would alway sbe diet. Rarely eating bread, evening meals consisting of rice, egg and veg etc. etc.
Recently I have bumped my diet upto 1800cal as the nutrition guide advises and rather than 6 meals, I am taking 4, because given my schedule and meals thats the easiest way to stick to the 1800cal.
scales haven't moves and the tape measure is the same0 -
Are you tracking your measurements? It takes me a month of consistent exercise to start seeing weight loss but I still lose inches during that time. What is your protein intake? Your body needs adequate protein to tone up.
I know it's frustrating when weight loss is slow but keep at it and the results will come. Good luck doing Insanity! I'm in week 5 of TurboFire - also a Beachbody program - and love it0 -
Hey,
I've been tracking it since 29th May and no change so far. My waist initially went down in the firs week of tracking but about a cm, but the cm has gone back on there.0 -
Maybe consult your doctor to make sure there's no underlying health issue like a thyroid or hormone imbalance. What's your start weight?0

I've seen my doctor. My test results have all been normal, even though the weight seems to be primarily central.
My weight was 72kg and in this month it has admittedly gone to 71.6kg in the morning, but around afternoon etc. it tends to keep back to the 72kg or beyond mark.0 -
It's good to know your health checked out ok! It's possible that you're retaining water weight. Are you taking measurements right after a workout? You'll get more accurate measurements if you don't measure until several hours later since your muscles retain water after a workout. Try not to let this discourage you - my weight loss has been ridiculously slow this first month despite dropping much quicker in the past but I have slow weight loss due to health issues this time around so I try not to let it get to me.0

It's frustrating for sure, but keep at it and things should happen. My clothes are just now starting to get ever so slightly looser. It's been so hard to keep at it and keep going without seeing results, but I've stuck with it and finally feel like things will actually pay off. Slow and steady wins the race.0

Always weigh-in first thing in the morning. No clothes. This makes sure you're getting a consistent measure.
Sounds like you've been changing things up recently. Be consistent, and as long as you're maintaining a deficit, the weight will start to come off.0 -
Thanks for the messages. I'm going to keep going with this routine and keep it constant and hopefully in a few weeks I'll start noticing some change0

Well of course it goes up by the afternoon, you've eaten, drunk water, etc.
Most people take their true weight from weighing first thing in the morning, after they've been to the toilet and before eating/drinking anything. So you've lost 1.4kgs which is great. Well done.0 -
You've changed your diet and your exercise routines quite dramatically in this time so it may take a while for things to settle. I was losing a fairly consistent 1lb a week, started strength training and had 3 weeks with no weight loss at all, now losing again.
Just keep at it. Good Luck.0
