Fitbit charge won't stay charged

I got my "Fitbit Charge" 3 months ago and it worked great. But now it won't stay charged for even 12 hours. I have implemented all of the suggestions - all of which I knew before asking for support. The charging cable is plugged into a working USB port. The end plugged into fits securely. The battery image appears. I charge it for at least 2 hours. I fully charge it each time. I do not have any alarms set. I turned off notifications which did not enhance holding the charge to the battery.

I am so disappointed that I cam not able to fully use my Fitbit because it has to be on the charger every 12 hours. Is anyone else having this problem?

    do you leave it plugged in even when it's full? that can ruin any lithium ion battery
