Since starting at the gym I have got this itchy red rash pretty much all over me. I have been to the doctors and am on steriod ointment, steriod tablets and antifungal cream. This is my question. I am in a wedding in less then 2 weeks and my rash doesn't appear to be contagious should I keep going to the gym? Would you?

It is hard to tell if you are contagious without knowing the diagnosis. Reason being, you are on both steroids and an antifungal. If it is a fungal infection you are going to want to wait for it to heal or you risk spreading it to other gym goers.0

Well thats the thing. They haven't given me a diagnosis because they don't know what it is. My assumption that it isn't contagious is because neither my kids nor partner have caught it. I think I'll skip out on the gym until it heals anyway because it seems to get aggravated by the sweating and rubbing.0

You are probably uncomfortable. Just in case, lay off the gym so others don't get uncomfortable too.
Give yourself to recover your natural beauty for the wedding.

It is pretty clear they are guessing. Did you a dermatologist? Family Practice M.D.s have a surprising low success rate with distinguishing types of skin reactions/infections according to most literature on it.0 -
Haha thank you middlehaitch. I will need all the help I can get in that department!
Armylife no I haven't been to a dermatologist. I don't have the money to see one and I don't have a referral to see a public one sadly. It does seem to be clearing up since I put a thick layer of sudocream on there. That has helped so much more then all the prescription creams.0 -
Is it like little pin pricks? It could be as simple as a heat rash, milliaria, if you are new at the gym and not used to sweating.
Aloe Vera really helps with that. It is a natural coolant, antibiotic and fungicide.
About $4 a tube at CVS ( stock up every time I'm in the states)

Yeah it is. I think the first doctor though it was sweat rash but because nothibg was working and it is was getting worse the second doctor didnt agree.
I'm not in the US but we do have aloe vera around these parts too. I might head done to the chemist and get some to see how it works.0
