Fitbit calories burned?

So i just got a fitbit charge hr
And I'm kinda confused?
I tracked my calories burned for my exercise (619) and on the exercise section That's there. But on the main page and on the watch it says I've burned 1269 calories??
Can anyone explain this please?

fitbit counts all calories burnt not just excersize. everything from breathing to digesting your lunch burns calories.

@ktekc Oh woah. That's insane. So how many calories burned should be the goal then?

If you have fitbit syncd to MFP the calories they give you extra is the difference between what MFP says you will burn using the settings you put in and what your fitbit says you actually burned. the more you burn the more calories it gives you. . my goal is to break even lol anything extra is just that. . extra to play with if i'm still hungry.

@ktekc. Haha okay. I'm just trying to get a handle on how this whole thing works.

I find Fitbit is really generous with the amount of calories I burn. My base is about 1400 but apparently I burned more than 600 calories doing random activities (strength training, shopping, doing dishes, etc.). I just can't fathom eating 2000 calories and still losing weight.

@Will_Run_for_Food yeah I'll keep the calorie counting part on mfp instead.
How can you tell how many calories it just gives you?
Still figuring the whole gadget out.
