Forgive me if this question is dumb, and hope it doesnt make anyone mad, but would anyone be kind enough to explain weekly calorie deficits to me?

Expending more energy than you take in. Either by eating less or moving more....or both.0

Undercut your current weekly calorie consumption by 3500 calories, whether through diet and/or increased exercise, and you will lose one pound.0

Ok. Does that mean I eat 3500 calories less every week than I would if I were maintaining my weight?0

Weekly calorie deficit - how much less you eat over the course of 7 days than your body burns. It's your daily calorie deficit times 7. You can count calories by the day or by the week in order to lose weight.
So, if you want to lose one pound a week, you need to eat 3,500 calories less each week than your body uses. If you do that, that's your weekly calorie deficit.0 -
Yes, exactly. That's 500 calories a day you need to cut IF you want to lose a pound a week. Maybe that's too much or not enough weight loss for you. Any combination of reduced calorie consumption or calories burned in exercise.0
