Wondered if anyone has tried this diet and what they experience? It looks to be evidence based with a well known gi dr. I have ibs c and pcos. Im hoping to figure out what sets up flares and to become regular. Healing my gut is more important atm to me up to now ive been carb cycling and having good results but I keep having some tummy issues so I aim to resolve that. Also I read an anti inflammation diet can helpe w the pcos so I thought I might give it a go.

I have not tried this. But I have PCOS so I am curious to know about this. Has it worked for you? Are you feeling any better?0

I have tried this. It does work. My IBS symptoms did subside. However, there is not a large community presence on the internet, just a lot of "buy the book" links. The most challenging part of course was psychological. As soon as I was at the point where I was able add fruits like apples back into my diet, I experienced intense sugar cravings and was not able to stick with it. There was nothing in the book to give guidance on what to do if you loose your mind. But while I could do it it worked.3

Hi Dastoen, I have been following Gut Balance for over 3 weeks and it's working for me. I do have some fruit in Phase 1. I just posted another thread about the diet, looking for a place to find answers to some questions. I know you posted several years ago, but did you ever find an Internet presence for the diet? Thanks!2 -
It would be nice if the woo-ers would elaborate on their opinions here. I’m certainly not one for fad diets, but IBS and other GI issues can require specialized eating strategies. I’ve never heard of this particular one, but it might be a good idea to run it by your primary care doctor or ask for a referral to a specialist if you have questions. Good luck!
ETA: Arg, I’ve been bitten by a zombie thread! Kitten poop!5
