So I've seen the commercials for the Fiber One I think it's like 90 calorie brownie bars. But if your trying to eat healthy why would you want to eat something like that? Wouldn't it be better to have an apple or something?

I personally don't have an issue with eating processed food as part of a balanced diet. In other words, I have fruit, veggies, meat and processed foods pretty much every day.0

There's nothing bad about Fiber One bars. If someone can fit them in to their calories for the day, who cares? I like them, I can satisfy my sweet tooth without breaking the bank with my calories.0

Oh I eat processed foods. Nutella is a processed food. I keep it handy because I have an insatiable sweet tooth. I TRY to stick to the serving size and spread it on a banana.0

Mmm, that sounds delicious! I only have one food that I need to restrict, and that is Laura Secord's chocolate hazelnut spread. It is so good, I literally eat it by the jar, straight. Not good for maintenance
Darn, now everyone knows my dirty little secret!0 -

I guess I'm just paranoid. I read something somewhere about you shouldn't eat processed foods that have more than 4/5 ingredients and they should only have ingredients you can pronounce.0 -

Lol. I'm sure we all do something we probably shouldn't. As long as it's not very often.0 -
Yeah, I think you're paranoid. I would eat Fiber One bars 24/7 but even one a day isn't a big deal imo. Overall moderation is more sustainable than demonization of processed foods or foods with more than 5 ingredients.0

During a visit with my grandson's pediatrician last week, we were advised to switch him from his normal breakfast of large flake oatmeal, to boxed cereal like Cheerios or Shreddies, because the "processed" cereal was fortified with iron! Not ALWAYS bad.0

This thread made me crave one of the Fiber One brownies. So I had one. No regrets.0

Ok. Ok. Everything in moderation.
I'll try to stop being so paranoid.0 -
I have a fiber one bar with protein just about everyday. There are other bars that are better nutritionally, but for me these are more of a lower calorie sweet treat/dessert thing I happen to like.
I've cut way down on eating processed foods over the past couple months, but I had to draw a line somewhere between eating healthy and feeling like im not obsessing and jeopardizing my sanity.0 -

retinyl palmitate (Vitamin A)
ascorbic acid (Vitamin C)
dihydrogen monoxide (H20 aka water)
There are a lot of things that have odd, hard to pronounce scientific names.
