My name is Ronda. I am a lifelong Kansan. I have also had a lifelong weight problem. My last time here was about 15 months ago. I have gained 44 lbs in the 15 months I have been away, I am so depressed about this. It's a vicious circle. One of the reasons I have gained weight is due to my depression and am now even more depressed because of the increased weight. I am going to break this cycle! I think I have decided to try the DASH diet. It is rated as one of the top diets, especially for hypertension and diabetes. I have both.

You can do it! The dash diet is a good one I have heard. It seems to more of a lifestyle change than a diet. I have the book, but right now I am just counting calories. Keep your head up!

Welcome back! One thing that has helped me is that I armed myself for this journey. I made an area in the kitchen that is just mine. I have decided to "mean what I say, and say what I mean". No just halfway trying. I want to live it, and put myself first. Its amazing how great you feel when you fix food that gives you energy, instead of SETTLING for food that makes you feel upset or tired. You are welcome to add me to see what things I do eat. I am in this for the long haul!
