So I stared my weight loss journey about 2 weeks ago . I put a picture of myself when I finished my first week but know one saw the difference. So I just want to see if anyone thinks there's a slight difference. The first picture is from day 8-15 and second is from day 1-8 rqwwey8vs2ie.png

    It's been 2 weeks...please give yourself a break

You are not going to get instant results but you will get results if you stick to your calorie defecit regularly and include some decent progressive resistance work

I'd suggest you keep taking photos and measurements and file them away ...progress comes over time ..

Also the weight comes off where it comes off, you may find your stomach is the last to lose the weight (although you may not, I didn't) ...as usmcmp says it's like a wet sponge you can't squeeze out one part in isolation

Your pics in the beginning are up close and the new ones further away. Two weeks could only be water weight. Try when you hit a 20 pound loss.. Keep it up

I am sorry but I don't see a difference. It is hard to tell because one pic is more close up than the other.

Two weeks is way too soon,it takes time for others to notice a difference. Since you obviously do not have to lose in the first place, people are not going to notice a difference for a while.

As others have said, there is no guarantee that your weight loss with even come from the area you are wanting to lose from.

As others have stated, it's only been two weeks. Great job on sticking to your goals. Maybe take pics once a month. You're more likely to notice results then.

You're doing great - but you need to ease up on the progress pictures!
I take progress pictures at the end of each month - and even then, the changes are very, very subtle.
Some months I don't visibly notice any differences at all. Two weeks really isn't enough time to see anything but that doesn't mean you aren't working incredibly hard! Your body is thanking you for it :)

I would suggest taking measurements once a month along with taking pictures only once a month.

And be patient. It takes some time to really see noticeable results.

I see a difference! Hey, even the small changes are very exciting, I know. I'm with you there :) And they definitely add up over time, of course. Great job!

I hate to rain on anybody's parade, but you posted a similar topic at 8 days in. So now it's what? 6 days later? You're still not giving yourself enough time to really see any amount of progress. Unfortunately (though we may wish it otherwise), there is no instant gratification in weight loss.

Take progress pictures every 30 days or so. 8 days, or even 2 weeks is not enough time to see any progress. Have patience and give it more time.

It's really hard to tell. But stick with it because one day, people will be saying, "Heck, yeah! Huge difference!"

I had to lose sixty pounds before I saw my own progress even a little, so don't get discouraged when you don't see results. You will!! :)

Different lighting/shadow, wearing different things, one is closer than the other. Try to compare pictures that are taken pretty much the same outfit, distance, lighting, pose.
It is probably too soon to see a difference in photos. You will probably have to wait a month or two to start seeing a difference. Take body measurements as well as photos and weighing yourself on the scale.

I didn't notice a real difference in my pictures- taken once a month- until I had lost 15-20 lbs and 4-5 inches off my waist.

    Keep going! You'll get there!

I think you're going to notice a difference in the way your clothes fit before anything else. That's the best judge initially. You're on your way. Keep it going!

I'm glad you've stuck with it for a second week. :)

But it does take time before there is any kind of noticeable difference. I suspect we won't start to see it until you lose somewhere near a full stone. (If I recall correctly, in your last post you said you were 15 stone and had dropped to 14 stone 8 lbs??)

Have you taken measurements? That might be a more definite way of tracking changes than trying to guess at changes from a photo.

Just a suggestion with your picture taking other than easing up on the frequency....try to keep them uniform.

The backgrounds, clothing (ie dressing gown on/off), room, lighting, the way you stand, the mirror you use and any things that may contribute to either seeing or missing the changes as you progress need to be eliminated otherwise it is very difficult to make an accurate judgement.

As others have said I have to agree with that you are putting yourself under too much pressure to see results in a far too quick time frame.

Take a breath, take measurements, if you want keep taking your frequent progress photos and trust in the process....just understand that MFP works, CI-CO works....it just takes time and the whole process will be a lot more bearable if you can just be patient and persistent as well as motivated.

I really think you are doing great....just maybe putting a wee bit too much pressure on yourself.

    All the best.

Very true. It's hard in the beginning because we all want to see the work we've been doing paying off. It takes a little time to start seeing it, but if you keep the faith and stick with it then things really start to change. At that point you get even more motivated to keep going.

Along with the great advice about taking progress pictures, I will add some more tips. Some of them are repeats of what has already been said, but I just did a copy and paste from a blog post I wrote about taking pictures.

    1. Make sure that you wear something fitting that will show your shape. Baggy clothing may hide differences.

    2. Don't blend into the background. If you are wearing dark clothing, don't take the pictures with a dark background. It makes it harder to see any progress. Also try and make sure that the background is free from clutter. It can be distracting and takes the focus off of you. Ideally. stand in front of a wall where nothing else can be seen in the background. Also make sure that the room is well lit.

    3. Be consistent with where you take your pictures and how far you stand away from the camera. I usually put my camera in the same spot and mark my distance.

    4. Make sure the picture is not blurry. Take several pictures if needed to make sure they come out the way you want them to.

    5. Have someone take the pictures for you. If that's not possible then use the timer on your camera. It can be tricky to take selfies in the mirror, especially if you are trying to take pictures from other angles. Having to have your hand up also blocks your body and you won't get the full effect.

    6. Take pictures from different sides to help see overall progress. I take mine from the front, back, and side.

    7. Take measurements when you take the pictures and save that information with it. That way if you do have a hard time seeing it you can look at those measurements to see the progress.

    8. Photo apps like Photofy or PicsArt are great for making collages. Just be careful about using stickers, frames and text. You don't want to cover up what you are trying to see.

    9. If you are taking face pictures, make sure that you hold the camera straight in front of you and look ahead. Looking down at the camera will make your face look bigger (I usually gain a few extra chins) and looking up makes your face thinner. Being consistent and taking the picture straight on will help show any progress.
