hi again! My nutritionist wants me eatin ng 2 starches for dinner. In terms of pasta that seems to be 1c. Most people on MFP say to use a scale. What would the rough equivalent be in weight for 2 starches?

weird terminology, but a cup of dry pasta is just under 100 grams

Ask them what they meant. It can be types, not amounts, for instance rice+potatoes, or pasta+bread. I can't understand why, but again, you'd have to ask those who told you.

I weighed it dry for the above. A cup is a volume not a weight so the weight will go up with the water on cooking but the volume will be about the same.
