When the scale lies...

Hey Guys!
My name is Shannon, I am about 5'10, weigh between 155-160 depending on the day and eat well and exercise often. I am a dress size 4-6, but I can't help but get frustrated when I see the scale. I am fit and work out a lot, a lot of strength training so I know that I have muscle, but its still discouraging to be gaining weight when I have worked so hard to lose these 25 pounds I have lost. And now I am gaining again.
I know I should be thankful for where I am, but it is still frustrating/discouraging sometimes.
Anyone else feel that way? If so how do you deal with it?

I find myself at this place every now and then; almost every time I'm there I do mirror your frustrations. I'm working so hard yet the scale doesn't have the capacity to recognize it. I get through those seasons by taking a break from the scale and focusing in more on the non-scale victories (i.e. I can see my collarbone, I can endure longer ranges of workouts, my shorts fit differently). Sometimes, you've got to say, "F- you!" to the scale and reflect more on those things you have made progress in. Stay encouraged!0

All of this! I haven't lost any weight (according to the scale) in over a month. However, I am still losing inches because I am fitting clothes that I couldn't fit before. I have left the scale alone...now I worry about the inches.
