How do I account for calories when I marinade my meats? I am not eating the marinade. Not sure how to do this. Help

Weigh the meat before you marinate it. Weight it after. Figure out how many calories are in that amount of marinade. Or just don't worry about it.0

The marinades I make are so low in calories that I ignore them.0

Log the marinade as a recipe, weigh the recipe, determine a serving size. Mine is usually one gram because it's simple to work with. Then,DeguelloTex wrote: »Weigh the meat before you marinate it. Then log the weight difference as marinade. This will be more accurate, but will require you to make the marinade the same every time.

i never bothered...the amount of marinade and corresponding calories that are going to stick to the meat are negligible. you want to be as accurate as possible, but at some point you're just wasting your time and energy trying to account for every little dinky calorie. there are far greater things to worry about and make sure you get right than your marinade.
pro tip - it's impossible to accurately account for every single little dinky calorie you take in.0
