Heart rate monitor

I've used my activity monitor using the strength training profile, and I usually get the 150 to 200 cals per hour burn, since I'm working out by myself there is no long period of standing around between sets, I can be done in 30 mins. With the advances in electronics in the past 32 years since HRM's have been on the market a lot of things do a lot more than they did when they did then, why do people think activity monitors would be any different? (cellphones, computers, automobiles), you have to buy what you want and see how it works for you.0
