I have been reading Kefir is great for those with tummy issues as it has probiotic properties

Many of the jars I see in the health food stores don't have any instructions or tell you how much live bacteria there is per x serving

Any brands people prefer? I saw organic meadows, liberte and pinehedge farms in the store. Some of these might be Canadian brands and not avail outside of Canada..

I guess I just want to know how much people drink a day to notice a difference

Also, wondering if I should take a probiotic along with the kefir

My Doc has me on a probiotic. Kefir has more calories than the pills do.

I drink my Kefir in a shot glass nearly every day. I don't track my beneficial bacteria/yeast count.

I drink a glass every day or two. There are some unsweetened and organic offerings that are pretty good. At less than 100 cal and good fat... I don't sweat it.

Homemade is the most helpful. I also like Helios by that's an American brand.
