Protein question

Hi! I'm getting back into consistent weight training. Likely will only have time to do it 2 maybe 3 days a week. Is the protein goal that MFP gives automatically enough to build muscle. I do about an hour of cardio most days during the week. I'm looking to reduce body fat in addition to increasing strength!! Thanks for any help!

From my understanding, no.
Use a macro calculator like "if it fits your macros"

protein alone does not build muscle you have to be doing a progressive load lifting program and at a surplus.
or
You need to be at or just below maintenance and doing a recomp where you are building muscle and losing fat...however this is very slow.
Don't confuse building strength and building muscle and don't confuse losing fat and showing existing muscle with building muscle.
But no the protein goal MFP gives you is the minimum recommended amount. If you want to retain as much lbm as possible while losing mainly fat take body weight and multiply by 0.8 and eat that much protein while doing a resistance training program.0
