Hi everyone my name is Sky and my goal is to loose 20-30 lbs by Dec. My overall goal is to drop 50. I am currently a female in my late 20's and weigh 200lbs at 5'8. Everyone tells me I don't need to loose weight and that I'm fine but I know my average weight is usually 150lbs. I started my journey again on Sat. I am currently craving fast food....chicken wings and fries with a milkshake but I know that would go weigh over my limit for the day. What makes things more difficult is that I'm PMsing and I have to go to work in an hr while craving:( also the girl I work with loves to cook. She cooks the most unhealthy things. How can I curb this craving? I just ate a small roasted potatoe with light ketchup but my body still wants what it wants. Please help!!

In an ideal world, we could eat whatever we desire in abundance and not gain weight. Unfortunately, it's just not the way our bodies are designed. We need fuel but too much can cause problems - just as too little will too.

The dedication, willpower and strength will have to come from you, I'm afraid. Allowing yourself to eat some of what you crave is absolutely fine but moderation is key here. My family eat quite unhealthily - we are a 'big hearty meals' type of family and food to us is a social, enjoyable thing. I found it (and still do at times) VERY difficult to watch them eat piles and piles of spaghetti whilst I've got a small in comparison portion. But it all comes down to choice. I don't want to be overweight and to me, being healthy is more important than a 10 minute temptation. You can succeed despite the 'triggers' around you, dip deep - allow yourself a little of everything you love but track and be aware.

@Pink Pikiexox Thanks for the encouragement! You're right. There will always be unhealthy yummy food around us but we must be strong in order to reach our goals. I'm hanging in there and I hope the same for you :)

i would start by having more than a small roasted potato to eat. i crave things a lot less when i'm not hungry...and i'd be starving if all i had for lunch or dinner was a small roasted potato.
