Oatmeal question

hi all! Why when I put in 1/2 c dry mccanns oats is ur sometimes 300 cal sometimes 150?

User error? Someone put the info in wrong or used a different version? There's often way more than one entry for an item.0

It should be about 150 calories. Check that you are always picking the same entry. Some are user entered and may be incomplete.
Calories in 1/2 cup dry oatmeal0 -
Oatmeal (including the McCann's steel cut I sometimes eat) is normally about 150 calories for .25 cup dry (or something like 44 g -- this is the normal listed serving size). Maybe .5 cup is a cooked amount when it's listed as 150 (although I've never measured my cooked oatmeal and use the grams), and .5 cup for 300 is the dry weight.
Or some entries are just wrong, which is common here.0 -
