Switching to soy??

I've made the switch from 1% milk to almond milk about 6 months ago & accidentally bought soy milk about 2 months ago (& I've been using that since then), thinking I was making a change in the right direction. But I am stuck wondering does this really make a difference? I read (on the internet) that its all a trap lol. Thoughts?

What are your concerns? I buy the SILK unsweetened soy milk with 80 calories and 7 grams of protein because it has more protein than almond milk and does not have lactose like the cow milk does.0

I have been on soy milk for around 10 years my kids never drink cows milk unless at a restaurant. Here are my observations. My children do not get sick frequently if at all and no respiratory issues which my eldest had when she drank cow milk for her first few years. My children do not have breasts or fat like ive seen many in school have. Their friends developmentof breasts at age 5 or 6 and wearing bras! And with weight issues. So I think the added rbgh does have an affect that way.0

Plus our bodies are not meant to have cows milk only breast milk which is not necessary after development years. The only milk similar to breast milk is goats milk which both my babies drank when my milk supply went. (I made them their formula with vitamins added w goats milk)0

Well it really depends on your overall diet and what your nutritional objectives are
Soy looks pretty good in comparison - personally I'm in dairy for the Calcium so sticking to Dairy

My children have been drinking cows milk since they were a year old
They are a picture of health with no respiratory issues (I'm asthmatic, their father has a genetic auto-immune condition)
My son does not have breasts because - boy
My daughter is starting to have breasts because - pre-pubescent girl
Your children's friends developed breast tissue at an early age because of genetic and medical issues (premarture puberty to that extent is concerning and I hope they are under a doctor)
You cannot proffer an anecdotal family history as scientific proof of anything, if you can I can say because my family likes to cycle we're all brown-haired - makes just as much sense0 -

No, it doesn't make a difference--just depends on what you like and what you want from the beverage.
I don't ever drink milk (not for any health reasons, I just don't), but I like yogurt and cottage cheese and would always choose dairy because it has the most protein, and tastes best, to me. Same if I were to add a bit of milk to some oatmeal (although I don't, usually, since I don't use it enough to keep it around).
If you are lactose intolerant, then obviously non milk options are preferable, and some foolish people (just kidding) don't like dairy as much as other "milks." When it comes to choosing between almond or soy, I'd probably prefer soy because of the protein, but almond has few calories, so some like that. And clearly taste matters.
If you've heard there's some health reason to avoid milk or that it's bad for weight loss, that's not so.0 -

A good many of us are adapted to be able to drink milk as an adult -- lactase persistence. It's pretty cool, and I think a good reason to decide that we are meant to do so (if we want). See https://www.ucl.ac.uk/mace-lab/gallery/lactase
As for cow's milk, we are humans, we get food in all kinds of creative ways. You could just as well say we are not meant to steal eggs from chickens or even cultivate various plants that are now different than they were in nature. As humans, I think leaving things alone would be more contrary to our natures, but YMMV.0 -

the regular costco milk have no rbgh added - on their website (many now are this way)
I'm surprised that you object to a fortified food since you frequently recommend that people take a multi-vitamin. What's the difference between adding calcium to almond milk and taking a multi-vitamin?0
