Low intensity/impact workout suggestions?

Used to be very involved with fitness and was doing a lot of body weight exercises etc but life got in the way and it all fell by the wayside.

I haven't worked out properly in nearly a year, but about a month ago, decided to get back into running. I've been following Couch 2 5K...the problem is, my asthma has become severely aggravated, and that was only up to week 3. Gutted as I love running but doesn't seem to love me at the moment (just to add, I've had asthma for 20+ years and RARELY suffer with it!)

I'm wanting to lose about 5-6lbs so not a lot, as well as exercise being a good outlet for me in terms of general health, anxiety, etc. What low intensity/impact exercises can you suggest? I walk my dog most days so might increase the length a bit, and am looking to start hiking on the weekends.

Swimming. It'll also help your asthma. :)

Bicycling, walking maybe. It might be nice to add yoga or tai chi in addition to other exercise. Balance and flexibility add another dimension to an exercise plan.

    I'd say run slower.
It just takes way more time for people with asthma to build up endurance.
Repeat the first two weeks. Keep on doing intervals.
