Why when you have to be burning your own body fat to stay alive doesn't it how on the scales...except upwards! Body fat MUST be burning away, it HAS to be.

Why are you only eating 1000 calories?

How long has it been since you lost and how are you determining how much you're eating?

y best friends does the same and at first she didn't lose anything hut she also has pcos. She then started eating fish more and the weight started to shed. Sometimes when you don't lose it could be because you are not eating enough.

This is untrue. Eating fewer calories than you're burning will result in weight loss. Eating too few calories may cause other health problems, but if not eating enough caused the body to hold on to weight then nobody would ever suffer from starvation.

    • Are you weighing your food on a food scale?
    • Are you around your TOM?
    • Did you recently start exercising?
    • Do you have any medical issues that effect your metabolism (PCOS or hypothyroidism for example)?
    • Do you use entries from the database that are labelled "Generic - " or "Homemade -" ?

Weight loss isn't linear. Some weeks you will lose and some you won't. Some weeks you might even see a slight gain. The number on the scale doesn't just show fat loss or gain. It also shows water retention, muscle mass, food still in the process of being digested, and if your wearing clothes, the weight of those clothes as well.

Max 1000 calories a day is NOT healthy. You risk malnutrition which causes tons of health problems. Hair loss, gall stones, brittle nails, etc. You need to eat more than that.

If you are indeed eating 1,000 calories....then your body is burning fat AND lean muscle.
