Absolutely necessary to get to 1200 calories every day?

So, I recently upped my calories to 1450 since I am doing 30 Day Shred, and have been trying the "eat more, lose more" philosophy. Yesterday, I went significantly over my calories (probably about 1200) OVER, due to going out for my husband's bday. I very rarely go over, so I am not concerned about that, so much. (This is a lifestyle change, for me, and for it to stick, I need to be able to have a day like that once a month or so where I can eat my strip cheese sandwich at Hooters and enjoy the celebration!).

My question is, I think that my overindulgence yesterday killed my appetite today. I wasn't hungry until dinner, which was two salmon fillets, a huge salad, some homegrown tomatoes. I've been forcing myself to snack on a few eggs and string cheese because 600 calories is definitely not enough for a workout day! Now, it's 10pm and I'm at 1000 calories and the thought of eating anything else makes me feel queasy.

For those of you in the "eat more and fuel your body" camp, am I doing myself any harm by undereating just one day? Especially since I overate yesterday? Feel free to tell me that I'm overthinking this, if I am! I just want to make sure I'm giving myself enough fuel to continue with my workouts and stick with 30 day shred- it's been a long time since I've worked out consistently, and I am proud of myself, but definitely feeling burnt out muscle wise.

I really do not think one day will do anything

One day being under is fine, it's when it becomes habitual that you have a problem. Happy birthday to your hubby!

Cool, that's what I thought. I tend to be an overthinker sometimes ;)
