Where do My Remaining Calories Go?

So I earned 159 more calories to my diet tracker because of what I burned off on my workout this morning. What happens if I have leftover calories after I am done eating for the day? Do they disappear when the new day starts, add to the next day, or do they help the site calculate what my daily caloric intake will be lowered to? Right now I have a high caloric meter because I just started this journey, I imagine it will be lowered as I continue right? Right now it is REALLY high!

Your calories don't roll over on the tracker to the next day, however, if you are using the app, you can look at a weekly deficit and that will tally up the total for the week and tell you how many calories you are under or over goal.

For me, I tend to look at things on a weekly basis rather than daily, as I often have one or two days during the week, usually on the weekend, where I know I will be over my calories, so if I am a little under on the days leading up to that, it helps offset things.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say you have a high caloric meter now and you think it will be lowered as you continue... do you mean that the calorie goal that you are set at seems pretty high, because you are at a higher weight currently, and as you lose, your calorie goal will go down? That is true, it should go down, but I don't think this is done automatically, you have to ask MFP to recalculate your goals, usually every 5-10 lbs lost is when people recommend recalculating.
