I have noticed after I do my work out I am so hungry. I usually will try to eat a meal right a way which is usually lunch. I do eat a good breakfast before my work out so this baffles me. Is this normal?

Protein. Yes it's normal.0

I sip on a protein shake with coconut oil while working out so am not ravenous afterwards.0

Protein, indeed! I always plan to have a high protein snack after my workout--hard boiled egg, nuts, a piece of cheese, deli meat, yogurt are among my go-tos0

If I am hungry after, I grab some chicken. I keep frozen pre-cooked stuff just for this reason. Any protein will do though.
Edit: if it's breakfast, I like fruit before, and almond milk fruit smoothie with protein after. I use raw eggs, but protein powder works too.0 -
I would eat whatever you wanted so long as its under your calorie goal. Focus in on clean foods ( no cakes ice cream)0

Hard boiled eggs are good, as well as meat, cheese, milk, Greek yogurt.0

I found I needed to be OK with feeling hungry. I once was told, if you're truly hungry, eat an apple. If an apple doesn't appeal to you, you're probably not actually hungry. That made a lot of sense to me. I notice if I just ignore the initial feeling, it goes away. Next thing I know, it's actually meal-time.
If I really am having a "hungry" day, I snack. I have several snacks that really work nicely for me, and the calorie count is low.
I found I needed to be very consistent about eating breakfast, lunch and dinner. My old habits of skipping meals aren't possible while losing weight. It's really important, too, that everything I eat is nutritious. No room for junk food calories now.

Yup, Mom used to say "if you're not hungry enough for an apple, you're not really hungry" to us when we were kids
I don't always want a whole apple though - and since I'm getting giant Honey Crisp apples from my farm stand, I don't even think about eating whole apples at a time. I had 7 ounces over four meals today.

I like to put a potato in the toaster oven when I go work out, and it's usually just done baking by the time I'm done. I eat that with some eggs or leftover chicken or a protein shake or something and some fruit.0

Yes, I love honey crisp, but they really are too big! I had too many when I first started dieting and finally got tired of them. But I love to add some fruit to my 2/3's plate which is veggies/fruit. You reminded me to buy some this week.0 -
It's not at all uncommon to be hungry after working out. What satisfies that hunger varies by person.
After a hard workout, I tend to try to hydrate really well before eating, or maybe have a salad to satisfy my hunger some and hydrate at the same time. Beyond that, I find that proteins satisfy me more, especially after a workout that burns say 1/4 or more of my daily calorie intake. If I get up to the area I'm burning 1/2 or more of my daily calorie intake, I need protein.... like right now, and eat more.0
