Stronglifts - all the abs workout you need?

A lot of people say this, but I have my doubts if you're aiming for a 6 pack. I'm still at 20% body fat so can't judge for myself. Be interested to hear from others what state stronglifts left their abs in though.

I don't do SL, but at a low enough body fat, SL would get you to "6 pack", as would most programs. The overwhelming factor is bf%.

Now if you want to argue whether that is enough core strength without doing direct work, that's a different story.

I guess the question is not whether the '6 pack' muscles are visible, rather how big they are. And to make these muscles significantly bigger I question whether stronglifts is enough.

If you want to maximum ab growth and the optimal 6-pack look, then you would most likely need to do focused core exercises.

I've got okayish abs and I don't do any direct ab work. You just need to be low body fat.

an intelligent application of direct ab work certainly wouldn't give you any less definition
