I like to eat protein before bed if I can because I hate sleeping on an empty stomach, so it works great for me when I do something like that. I'd say try it and see what happens.0

No. Bad anytime....especially before bed! Excess converts to sugar first, and then fat.0

would also like to know why you're telling someone that protein is bad at anytime...? If you're not sure, please don't give someone false or inaccurate information - they're looking for help. Be honest.0

It's great for you and may even help you sleep better.0

(a glass of milk is lower in protein and can promote sleep)
it can also contain caffeine/chocolate flavor

Keep Protein to a Minimum at Bedtime
Sorry Atkins. Protein, an essential part of our daytime fare, can be a poor choice for a bedtime snack. Protein-rich, high-fat foods are harder to digest. So skip the fatty high-protein snack before bedtime and opt for a glass of warm milk or some sleep-friendly carbs, like crackers.
I believe these related to large meals but even then its highly individualized. Whey proteins digest extremely quickly. And since whey comes from milk, it shouldnt be an issue unless you have acid reflux issues.
OP, the only issue it would have is if it prevents you from sleeping. You will have to try it to see if it works for you.0 -
Unless you are trying to get fat, drink in the morning, NOT at bedtime!0

Unfortunately it's starting to become an annoying pattern of one liners...
OP as mentioned above, I regularly read that Casein is the go to protein to have before bed.
