Binge Alert! Binge Alert!

It's not even 9pm on a Friday and I am alone with nothing to do. My friend I had over left earlier than planned. I have gotten some exercise today, but there is always room for more. I have had 2 drinks, but I think I am only tipsy at most. The junk food I consumed tonight were correct portions and I stayed under my calorie goal. But I fear I may do what I always do when bored, start over-eating. What do you do to distract yourself? Should I do yoga and watch netflix, walk to my folk's home for a visit? Do something non-active, but distracting, like play video games or read? Would journaling just perpetuate my anxiety? What do you suggest?

Talking a walk (any exercise) helps. Go to your folks! :)

Tea and gum. I'm doing the same now. I also plan my last snack to be pretty late and I try to keep busy until it's time to have it.

I was in your exact place yesterday, and I lost the battle. I ate 8 servings of almonds which put me 900 calories over my goal.

Today, reevaluating my binge, I had these thoughts:

    1. I never once asked God to help me.
    2. I should have just gotten on the treadmill the minute I started to realize I was in trouble. If I had, I think I would have been ok.
    3. The pleasure I felt while binging did not come close to the joy I have been feeling today as I met each of my calorie and exercise goals.
    4. I need to remember how I felt ( physically and mentally ) the next time I am in the same place.

Any of the things you mentioned would be fine. Point is, if you want to distract yourself then go do something!

I went on a 20 minute vigorous bike ride. That combined with my 60 minute brisk pace walk this afternoon burned 826 calories total.

Seems like a high burn for a walk and 20 min of cardio.

I am going by what myfitnesspal calculated. I did walk very briskly today and I speed biked to my parents.
