Howdydoo! :flowerforyou:

Strict vegetarian. Loosely vegan.
Call me Eli. Or Elis. Whichever tickles your fancy.
I'm going to lose 30 pounds before I begin college next fall, and I'm hoping to find a group of people to build a support system! So... I've had this app on my phone for quite a while, and I figured it was time to start using it, right? Right-o!
I'd love to meet some of you and I'm happy to be here!
Also, a question: my friend suggested 'The Military Diet'? Does anyone here know anything about that?
Thanks

Hello, First, I like that you have a light sabre as your picture on the weight widget, and the subject of the post is from Star Trek!
I'm also a vegetarian (although I eat eggs and dairy).
Feel free to add me, sometimes I go missing for a couple of days, but I usually come back. c:
And I don't know what the military diet is, although I'd be interested in hearing about it.0 -
Not sure what the specific military diet is that you friend is talking about, but as a military wife who sees what these guys eat, I assume it's pizza, tacos, 40's, and chocolate milk. Yummy!0

Hahaha, I think I really like the sound of the military diet!
Nice to meet you guys0 -

NERD! I've been vegetarian for the last seven years and am after the last elusive body fat (down 90 lbs from my initial weight). I'm actually rewatching the original series on netflix now, so I couldn't resist the title. The military diet is an unhealthy gimick that has been pretty universally panned on MFP (you can search the forums if you want the specifics). The MFP community tends to be pretty down on fad diets, and for good reason. Eating healthy foods in sensible portions is all you need to lose weight. Eat at a reasonable deficit, and you'll lose. The closer you get to your goal, the better you have to eat and the more exercise can play a role in burning fat and building muscle. Feel free to add me.0

There seems to be a lot of vegetarian/vegan geeks out there! I can geek out with the best of them. Feel free to add me.0
