    Can you be more specific.

Eat at a deficit and if your timeframe is less than 12 months, maybe reevaluate your goals to something more realistic.

    It will take time.

You've come to the right place. Put your stats in MFP, pick a reasonable loss rate, weigh & measure your food, log everything, stick to the deficit MFP gives you, save some calories for your favorite treats, and read the forums for help & inspiration. Slow & steady weight loss while you are developing lifelong good eating habits. Take a look at some of the success stories, you are in good company. Wish you the best!

    Some pieces of advice, then:

    1. Figure out what really motivates you - have a goal for what you'll do when the weight is off.
    2. Plug in your MFP stats and pick a reasonable rate of loss.
    3. Accept there is no short-term fix. Accept that you will, even with perfect adherence, see the scale go up sometimes (less often than it goes down, if you stick to the diet). Accept that you will sometimes overeat, and don't beat yourself up over it.
    4. Keep the diet simple and sustainable. Don't give things up for the diet that you're not comfortable giving up forever. The longer and much harder part is keeping the weight off - the diet is a critical time where you build good life habits to keep you successful for the rest of your life. Your weight-loss diet should be basically the same as your ultimate diet except smaller in calories.
