HI I'm Ade from Wales,
I've recently started using the site and having great fun. I was 18 stone six pounds after long term illness, lack of exercise and eating and drinking rubbish. But, I've managed to lose a stone and a half in a few short weeks through eating good food and exercise. My short term aim is to reach 16 stone by Christmas day, and then 15 stone by next spring next year. long term i want to get fit and healthy again.
So far, I have averaged 4.5 pounds loss each week apart from last week where I only lost 2 pounds for some weird reason. I go to the gym, swim and sauna for between two and three hours everyday that i am not working. I was drinking eight cups of tea or coffee a day with two sugars, microwave food, takeouts and everything bad. it's all gone now though. i now drink sugar free squash and eat salad and chicken. i have one cup of tea with fake sugar as a treat in the mornings.
Walking into the gym for the first time was scary, twenty years or more since I last exercised properly and i expected the gym to be full of slim people in lycra and sweatbands. (yes, i am from the eighties). When i first started training i could not run more than 50 meters without feeling like i was going to have a heart attack and collapse, I can now run for 15 minutes, cycle for 20 minutes, use the cross trainer for 20 minutes. row for 2000 meters in 9 minutes, it's all Cardio at the moment. I feel like a new man, thanks to the help and support from family and friends.
anyways, that's enough about me. Feel free to add me as a friend if you like.

It's recommended that you loose no more than two pounds a week. It's berry common to loose a large a mount of weight when you first start, but eventually it slows down. If you're consistently loosing 4 pounds in the next week or two, then your deficit is too high. I know you want to loose the weight as soon as possible, but doing it right it take time.
Now all that being said, if your doctor is monitoring you and he says it's ok, then get a new doctor0
