I walked over a mile for the first time. It felt really good to accomplish that. Now I just need to do this 3 days a week.

    Congrats, great start! I found that when I started walking, wearing a pedometer really motivated me because I would aim to reach a certain number of steps and increase that goal a little bit every week or so.

    Yes, I agree with Carlala. iPhones have built-in pedometers and I assume Androids do, too, although if not I bet an app can be easily downloaded. It's always good to see in numbers your progress. Keep up the good work!

    Well done! That feeling of accomplishment is so contagious that you'll want to do it 3-5 times a week. I loved my pedometer when I first started walking... my goal was to walk just a few more steps than the day before. It is amazing how motivating that can be. Congrats on your first mile!
