Smartband calorie tracking conversion

I have a fitness tracker and walk at least 13K steps a day. I have not been logging them into my exercise, not sure how to translate it, I only input in actually gym time on the treadmill or elliptical. I found something the other day that said the conversion is 2K steps= 1 mile but was not able to get a clear number for calories per mile or steps. Do I put them in and are they usable as extra calories for the day, I usually stick to my calorie max for the day no matter what extra calories are alotted exercise.
Can anyone give me some guidance?

from what i recall reading, for an accurate number, it depends on different factors like your weight, stride and all that so i just use the basic way since i don't usually eat back those calories anyways (i times my non-exercise steps by .05). i did come across a web calculator once but, don't remember where.0
