Background: I'm 5'1, 170lbs. I run between 1-2miles 3 or 4 times a week & 2 strength training sessions a week. I've lost 32lbs over the last year or so. I just joined a diet bet at work from now to Christmas and I WANT this! Everyone says I can't win bc I'm the smallest competing and I've already lost my *initial fast dropping weight* I've been coming up with a plan to get strict and focused to prove them wrong.

Plan: I want to lose 17lbs by Christmas. How does doing Insanity 3days/wk (I've never done it) and running 2 days sound? Macros at 45%carbs 35%protein and 20%fat. I'm really tempted to go down to 1200 cal/day but I'm torn I know all the "that's way too low you're starving" hype but I need to hear it again or see if it'll be okay for like3-4weeks. I'm currently set at 1350cal/day and eat back about 90% of my exercise cal.

Start with your input!

You can do it and lose pounds. But for most people it isn't sustainable. Is your goal is to win the office pool - go for it. If your goal is healthy lifestyle and long term weight loss it probably won't work. Personally I'm not a fan of games like this so maybe I'm biased. The reality is if you can continue steady weight loss over the holidays that is a huge accomplishment!
