No one ever lose weight if you're older! You get loose, disgusting skin. I've lost over 130 pounds, and now my body looks like an old woman's wrinkly, loose face is on my stomach.

You've been warned!

    I agree but no one will ever see it they just see how great I look in smaller clothes. That is fine with me. My face is a little more gaunt but no one ever mentions it they always say how great I look. I have less pain in my knees and the only one that will see my body is my doctor and the undertaker. LOL

    Newsflash: Most older people have wrinkles whether they're fat or not.

    I'd rather have loose skin and wrinkles over heart disease and diabetes anyday.

    Your profile says you're 41--that's not old at all. Have you been exercising along with your weight loss? How fast did you lose? Losing slower along with exercise helps skin shrink along with you, but genetics enter in too. 130lbs is also alot to lose (congratulations) so you may need to look into surgery.

    I must be one of the lucky ones....I have no regrets only that I wish I had gotten my act in gear a long time ago. Losing the weight was the best thing I've done in a very long time.

    Wow! Congratulations on the loss! Me, I'm down 70 and now have boobflaps. ... but I can sit on the ground without needing a cane or other assistance to get back up. I sometimes run just because I feel like it. I'm down to 1/3rd of my asthma maintenance dose. I wasn't planning on swimming top less anyway. ;)

    Another good point. Losing 130 pounds would likely leave skin issues regardless of age.

    Yep. I have some loose skin and I'm 25. I might get surgery to have it removed a few years down the road. It didn't stop me from wearing a bikini this summer or a Harley Quinn Arkham City costume for halloween.

    OP: Loose skin is not the end of the world and while expensive, it can be removed with surgery. I'll take my loose skin over the health issues I had and was at high risk for while obese any day.

    @shadow2soul nice results :)

    I am older, 62!, have loose wobbly bits but love my body and what it can do. Like shadow2soul I will wear a bikini at the beach. I am comfortable so don't care what anyone else thinks.

    Your skin can take a couple of years to contract. Well done on your loss.

    Cheers, h.

    I am 28, started losing weight about 2 years ago at age 26 and have plenty of loose skin. Oh and cellulite and varicose veins. Gotta thank those genes! ;-)

    I have lost 83 pounds and i will be 40 years old in February. I still have 43lbs to go. I'm not sure about loose skin yet but if I end up with some I probably won't get surgery unless it becomes a work out obstacle or health risk. My wife is supportive either way thank God. Anyway choose Drs carefully??? A friend of mine got it and is still not happy with it. I'm not seeing many stretch marks but then again I'm haierier than snuffalofagus in most places❗️

    I personally feel that being older with loose skin is preferable to not being able to feel healthy and fit. So OP stop making dumb excuses and loose the pounds in a reasonable manner and let time tighten up what it can and don't sweat the rest of it.
