Losing Momentum-HELP

I've worked hard to lose 40 pounds. I have about 10-15 more to go. The journey thus far hasn't been too difficult...until now. I need some tips on how to stay motivated. Most days lately it's a struggle from the time I get up to the time I go to bed to stay on track nutritionally & with my daily calories. Any insight is appreciated!!!

Just remember how you looked before your 40lb loss and how much you wanted to lose weight. You probably didn't like the way you looked or felt. The new year will be hear before you know it, wouldn't it be great to lose that 10-15 lbs, before then. instead of starting the year needing to lose weight, you'll feel great that you already lost your weight. Your worth it. Janice0

I Have 10-15 to go and it's slow going. It's just a little below maintenance so it seems. I feel like I'm in training for maintenance and a new, different and forever change in the way I deal with food. It's tough.0

Thanks so much to you both! Janice: it's definitely true that I feel WAY better than I did. And it'll be AWESOME to start the new year without having a resolution to loose weight for a change!
And fiddletime: thanks for making me feel like I'm not alone in the struggle to make losing the last 10-15 lbs a thing of the past.0 -
I'm right there with you. I have a photo of myself on refrigerator where I'm 28 pounds heavier. Every time I go to get something to eat, I see that picture and it motivates me!! Good luck. You're doing great0

You could consider taking a diet break for a week or two. Adjust your calories and eat at maintenance. You still track but you get a much larger margin to work with.0

My original goal was 50lbs. I've lost 18. Whenever I'm feeling really unmotivated I go grocery shopping and have a look at the lbs of butter. I imagine the stack of butter attached to my waist and butt. UGG. That's it for me. Then I head for the vegies.

All of the previous posts. Plus I like to go shopping in my closet for those items I swore I would wear again one day.
Remember why you started this journey. It's so easy to loose motivation then start to reincorporate those habits that got you to the undesired weight as a result. The fact of the matter is you can either lose the last 10-15 or gain back the 25-30 you've already lost.0 -
