So... On that topic ladies idk if u read that thread how the man who posted it dislikes big butts and everyone wants one now. Sure its his opinion and I respect that but it makes us woman feel like we are never good enough society wants our image to be Kim kardashian or Nicki minaj and its hard for us to feel confident now a day's. Truth is ladies we are all beautiful whether big booty small booty flat chest heavy chest straight or curvy figured, no matter what we are someone out there will appreciate us for us and we should all embrace that. Men have your opinions but don't put it out there to make us ladies with natural heavy back sides feel less of ourselves. Its not like woman are posting their preferences on men's size. Have a little respect thank u. Love your self and each other.

Nobody should let somebody's throw away comment impact on how they feel about themselves.
Every idiot has an opinion ..they're two a penny
And tbh women tend to be bigger judges than men
Unfortunately what is happening is that men are being pulled into this body shaming and societal pressure of the "perfect shape" rather than women being pulled out of it so I don't think this is just a woman thing at all0 -
having ones feelings hurt by something said on the internet is a waste of emotion. He is totally welcome to his opinion, thank goodness not everyone likes the same body type or how would we all find someone we want to see naked?0

Hello, could you tell me how you lost your belly fat and became thinner? I just posted a thread on topic.
About men liking bit booty or small booty, everyone is free to have their choices I think. But they shouldn't be downgrading women for their physical qualities.0 -
I don't think he was purposely being offensive, maybe forced his opinion a bit but definitely wasn't an attack against shapely women(which I love). Like someone else said one mans dislike is another mans preference.0
-
I personally had no offense to it. Everyone is attracted to something different. I am not attracted to men with big muscles, so I have never dated them. I also swoon over men full of (good) tattoos that listen to, what I consider "good", punk/hardcore music. Does that mean I wouldn't date someone that doesn't match those descriptions? No, it's just preference. I am sure that the man who made that thread has dated women with big 'ol booties before.0

Its totally OK to have opinions we all do but to go out your way and make a post on it. Ehh kinda low. But I embrace all body types0 -

Ya, while I thought it was ill-advised, I wasn't offended. I certainly have my own preferences in men.
His mistake was framing his preferences as an ideal.0 -
I've never felt like I wasn't good enough. I'm not even sure what I should be feeling good enough for (apparently not the grammar police ).

This.
Really, it doesn't matter what body type a woman has. There will always be a man out there who will criticize it, but there will also be one who will love and appreciate it.0 -

It doesn't make me feel like I'm not good enough. I don't want and don't work on getting a bigger *kitten*.
I don't want to look like Kim Kardashian. I don't even know what Nikki minaj looks like.
Different people are attracted to different things.

Nope...but his way of thinking is really insidious. Not meaning to do harm doesn't mean that you aren't actually doing harm.0 -
Ladies, ladies, just consider the source of all this uproar. The guy later claimed he didn't have a clue, and I believe him--THAT'S what's so sad here.0

I pm'ed him to joke and he extensively apologized for posting that thread. He's another male, like our husbands and boyfriends, that's clueless Let's drop it. We all know that men love big butts and it has nothing to do with the Kardashian Klan. Same with little butts, big boobs, and little boobs, has nothing to do with celebrities and instagram. Everyone has different tastes.0

Everyone wants to blame "society" but we are "society". "Society" is made up of millions of women feeling pressured into believing perfect body looks like X because "society" thinks it's the perfect body. When really, it's just a self perpetuating loop of pressure. Women buy magazines with flashy headlines "Get Kimmy K's Booty in 10 easy steps!!" and the magazines keep putting more of it out because it's increased sales. Then because it's so popular in the media, more women think that it's the only way to look so they buy more magazines.
Once you learn to just be yourself, make yourself happy and understand that not everyone is going to unconditionally like you, things get a lot easier.0 -
I frankly find the stereotype of the hapless man who just bumbled into putting his foot into and now finds himself in need of being "poor-dear"-ed to death as demeaning to men as putting some body type forth as an ideal is for women.
Men are rational beings capable of empathy and growth. While the OP of that thread may have posted in ignorance, he and others like him can learn to move past that. I don't buy that men are "clueless". That's insulting.
Opinions about body types? I agree with Rabbit. Women judge way harder than men do.0 -

IDK...society is made up of all kinds of men and women who all have different preferences. I personally wouldn't let one individual's opinion make me feel this way or that...it's just one person's opinion. I'd also say that in my experience, women are way harder on other women than men are...
personally, i like a nice shapely booty to go along with a fitness/athletic body...conversely, my best friend likes his women to be basically curveless. different strokes, different folks.0 -
I like my body
I think it's pretty damn perfect
It made two perfect kids and it rocks
What other people think about it doesn't matter a jot

I wasn't trying to be insulting by calling him "clueless". I agree that men are empathetic and can learn. I thought this was girl time and we can discuss this with some light heart considering he already apologized. I'm sure we all have had at least one boyfriend or husband that said something they never thought would hurt your feelings. "Honey, does my butt look big in this?" "Yes...no..yes? idk! Do you want it to look big?"
Not everything needs to be taken literally and I didn't expect anyone to take what I said as an insult.0 -
There is someone for everyone in my opinion. If you have it, someone probably loves it. The just ranted about something he sees and doesn't like. I'm sure most of us do that multiple times per day.
As far as society, like it's been said, we are all society. It's a budding movement, but women deciding that society will not dictate what they are supposed is gaining momentum, Thank goodness.
Oh and I'll just leave this here......

This kind of attitude is just as sexist as men telling women how they should look.

BTW I have a bubble butt and didn't find it offensive at all. If someone doesn't like it there are 10 other guys behind him that do.
I'm not sexist. I LOVE men, all men.0 -

Yeah.
It's nice that he apologized, but it would have been good of him to do it within the thread, to those he insulted.0 -

I have 5 brothers, 3 sons (grown), and a husband. I believe I know alittle about how men think. He posted the thread, without thinking, and when everyone came down like a tent in a typhoon he came back on a bit bewildered. That's why I said he didn't have a clue to the can of worms he opened up and was trying to stuff them back in----I'm sure he learned, and will be very careful in the future. It was a learning experience, and that's what we wanted--right? All my men have said insensitive things without thinking, because they do. Not all men have this problem, but a good many, yes. Is that sexist? No, they think in a different way, and that's what we love about them, and them--us. It's realistic not condescending. Women's faults for another thread.0 -

exactly.
he went in by using the word inelegant which was not cool.
anyway its his problem, he will just have to close his eyes every time a big booty passes him by.0
