I can't believe I've gotten to this point. I just re-set my goals to lose one pound per week instead of 1.5 like I have had for the past 6 months or so, because I'm getting close to my goal. I've lost about 55 pounds total, which really averages to a little over 2 pounds per week since I started, and really I only have 10 more pounds to go for now, I honestly never thought I would get here. When I was at the gym this morning, resting between sets in the power rack, I looked at myself in the mirror from the side, and I actually thought I looked thin. Like a regular person. I haven't felt that way in a very, very long time.

I have lost this weight once before (well, twice if you count the time I lost a ton of weight when I was sick and living in a foreign country for a couple of years), but this time it's staying off. My wife never said she thought I was fat, but when I mentioned it, she'd just say "I really just want you to be healthy so you'll be around with me and the kids for a long time." I never want to hear those words again.

That's all. I'm just really feeling good about myself this morning (and on a Monday, too!).

Congratulations! Sounds like you've been losing at a steady pace. Good plan to add some calories back in and start to eat more closely to how you will when on maintenance. Smart to ease your way to goal.

Congrats! 55 pounds is a great accomplishment haha, it IS an accomplishment within itself to feel great on a Monday morning. Makes it extra special.

Congratulations! That must be an amazing feeling to look in the mirror and see a slim person staring back at you. :)
