Breastfeeding Moms and Weight Loss

Hello. Looking for nursing moms who have had success with weight loss, or even just other nursing moms to support each other! I would love some breastfeeding friends on MFP especially with open diaries so I can get a feel for what seems to work. I feel clueless, I want to lose weight but I don't want to harm my milk supply either. My baby is 10 months and it's time to crack down but my appetite is unreal (especially carbs). I take long walks with baby all the time and jog outside every other day but that's not doing the trick. I'll be joining a gym soon so workout tips for nursing moms would be helpful too. I'm within 3 lbs of my pre pregnancy weight (gained 22lb total) but I don't feel good at all. The difference was before it was muscle and now it's flab and I had some weight to lose before baby anyways. Help! Add me nursing moms!

Hi, I am still nursing my baby girl - she's 16 month now. I only nurse her in the evening. You are more than welcome to look at my diary and add me as a friend. I go to the gym regularly and do strength training and a little cardio. I have lost 35ish pounds now.0

I'm nursing my son, he's just over 5 months now. I gained 40 lbs during my pregnancy and to date have lost 50lbs. I was not intending to lose to much so quickly because I was worried about my supply but my little guy eats a ton. He's gaining weight appropriately (actually a bit faster than average) so now I'm just trying to maintain my weight. I generally eat between 2000-2500 calories a day (not all logged because sometimes I forget or too busy with the little man)0

I am nursing my daughter she is 7 1/2 months old now. I was only working out at first and not counting calories. I then started logging my calories and I found out that I was consuming 2000 calories a day! Yikes! So i slowly reduced my calories and I'm now down to 1300ish and my milk supply has been great! No problems here! I just make sure to drink plenty of water and if I feel like I reallyyyyyy need something I don't deprive myself I just eat it. I choose healthier snacks now and I AM vegan. I have been vegan for 5 years! I gained 100lbs during my pregnancy because I had an healthy obsession with carbs and other junk. Now I cut the crap and have lost 56lbs in 7 1/2 months but I didn't start MFP until recently. Since I started MFP I have lost 16lbs and I am doing it extremely slow now. Feel free to add me! I would love other nursing mom friends!0

So crazy! I just typed in breastfeeding moms to find some support as well. My LO will be 10 months on the 19th. I'm always hungry and I haven't lost the weight like my other friends while BF. I gained 55 lbs during pregnancy and I've got 20 lbs to lose. I'll be adding everyone! Hope we can motivate each other!0

Hi ladies! Can I add any of you to stay motivated? I just made an intro post, I'm a FTM of an almost one year old girl who is still breastfeeding.0
