I have noticed that about an hour after i eat lunch i feel the need for a little snack. Even if i start out with a handful of almonds i find i just want more. I end up with a banana, then a cookie! Then, oh, i'll just have half of that other cookie, and it turns into diet carnage! This happens almost every day! What can i do to control my cravings? This is sabotaging my program! HELP!

Have you tried GG crispbread???? That's what I do when I get those cravings. I top them with some jam or agave nectar and have a glass of water after. They contain only 12 calories and 5 grams of fiber, so you still stay in your calorie budget.

What are you eating for lunch? Without seeing your food diary, the only thing I can suggest is to add more fiber and protein in your lunch to keep you fuller longer.

Many times what I do when this happens is I have a bran muffin that I made. What you do is take a box of the low fat brownie mix, 3 cups of what bran, an egg (for the binder) and 1-1/2 cup water. Mix all together. They don't rise, but this makes about 12 muffins. Bake at 350 for 30 min. Each muffin has something like only 58 calories in it, and with all that bran, I normally can drink at least 24oz of water, many times more.

I do find that having protein keeps me full longer, like egg whites or chicken.
