I was at a friends party a few months back and I saw this picture, that helped to get me motivated. I still have a long way to go but I have to say im so frigggggiin happy to finally be in Onderland....Why you ask? Because now I don't have some dreary number to look at - 30 more pounds to go till I hit 199lbs, now I get to count in tens...10 more pounds till the 180s haha. Thats probably retarded but to me it makes the journey seem so much shorter when you only have to count in tens to achieve your goals.

I have been working out anywhere from 3-5 days a week I started at 1 day and that in itself practically killed me. A walk down a flight of stairs and I was winded....I did say Down a flight right...Now I can swim for 90 min a wack and because I have been lifting heavy 2-3x a week I look much smaller than the scale says so that makes me happy. I have about 30-40lbs left but for now atleast I am out of the RED zone :)

I can mainly see the difference in my face and my stomach but I can tell my legs are getting stronger.

How tall are you? Cause i am at 193 and i don't look anywhere near that skinny hahaha

I was 196 a couple of years ago and I didnt look this skinny its because of the weight lifting, I never did it before but ive been doing it for 3 months and see so much definition...I wish the scale reflected what I see in the mirror

yeaaah there it is, you look so petite!! I must be losing weight in other places im still a bit chunky around the midsection!! Jealous!! you look fabulous tho!

Thank you! You know what kills me though, I reduced my carbs and upped my protein/fat and water intake so my cellulite practically disappeared yet Im still a size 15 :'( It could be worse I started out a size 18 lol

I reduced my carbs just cause of the diabetes i had, Diabetes is gone now but i still eat low carb (i think?) somewhere between 50-70g per day after subtracting fiber. Im sitting at size 16 but i started at size 20-22. 16's a bit big but next size down doesnt quite fit yet lol so a lot of my clothes are kinda big

Ya my doctors diagnosed me with ADHD a few months back and said I was close to diabetic...Once I went low carb my brain functioned better and all my signs for both disappeared completely. My doctor said some body's just dont take to carbs well. I eat typically between 50g-100g a day-ish (in comparison to the almost 400g a day I was having).

But you look great in your profile pic, you don't look overweight at all. Congrats on beating diabetes, just the signs I did have were enough to scare me.

nope, most of my carbs were from binge eating and my diet was a lot of pasta, pizza, donairs, big macs and chinese food, burgers lol

Ya Fast food and pastas where another one of my weaknesses. I have pasta maybe once a month but even then I typically say no because if Im going out, I have to do the bread sticks, have to do the Alfredo, have to do wine and desert LOL

Where are you from that you eat donairs, I used to LOVE those when I lived in Germany, that and Turkish Pizzas lol. Great food for when your drinking

I order a lot of low carb foods online now to balance myself out. So i get my breads, pastas and rice in the mail a long with a lot of my snack foods now. Made the transition a lot easier cause im such a picky eater when it comes to most things outside of the meat and bread blocks lol

But that is how i am too, although ive not gone to a restaurant yet, i did attend a cooking class just for fun and we made pizza as an app and then salmon + potato salad and then this banana cream pie in a glass thing as a dessert and i wasn't saying no to any of that hahahaha

That sounds delicious! I cant cook so I stick to microwavable dinners and protein shakes lmao jk

Just saw your post. You are doing great. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to make changes. Know that you are doing it for yourself even if no one else notices. I am struggling with diabetes and I am encouraged by your positive results. My last a1c was 10.4. Meds aren't helping much at all. My goal was set for 45-60 grams of carbs per meal. Looks like I need to cut way back. I love pizza, pastas, and breads. Would appreciate any advice you could give. Stay strong as your follow your path and you will be at goal before you know it.

Thank you so much :) no one at work has noticed yet either or maybe they just don't see it not sure. Cutting down the amount of carbs has to be one of the hardest things I've done in my life, I'm Italian and addicted to Pepsi so carbs kept me going. I had to do it slowly one meal at a time, once the first meal got easier then I would add the second and the third. I noticed as my body consumed more protein and less carbs my cravings for cards and all foods in general kind of went away the protein was so filling I am never hungry. For breakfast I typically do some form of eggs and bacon, for lunch a salad with grilled chicken, and for dinner my protein shake. I think the key is slow and steady not cold turkey
