If you've been measuring inches around, especially in a place with similar fat distribution all the way around, here's how to figure out how many inches "outward" you've lost, as measured from inward to outward!
2*pi*x = old circumference
2*pi*(x+y) = new circumference
Enter in your old/new measurements, and solve for y.
For me:
2*pi*x = 33 (measuring belly around at pudgiest point)
2*pi*(x+y) = 31
Get x from the first equation, plug into second. Get y.
=> .32 inches lost outward
Something about makes me happy so I wanted to share

Well, it's a guesstimate since waists are ovals as they get smaller but - it's a place to start!0
