I really like bpi sports snow cone flavor and the fact it's effective and cheap for the amount of servings.

I also like c4 for the flavor, but it doesn't hit me hard enough. I'm trying to slowly ween off the pre workouts though as the caffeine affects my thyroid

    I use coffee.

As for do pre-workouts work.... There is no regulation or regulatory authority governing products labeled supplements or with supplement facts in the place of a nutrition label. This means they can say anything is in it, at any quantity, and that it causes any result they want to say it does with no real consequences.

Other than giving you expensive pee, I don't know that they do anything positive. That being said, I know people that swear by pre-workouts.

I can't stand the beta-alanine itch, so I stick with MAN Sports Game Day.

They do get inspected and regulated. There's a push for a better crack down on them. If there was no regulation then Jack3D would still be the original formula, containing banned ingredients. Many will call their supplements a "proprietary blend" which means they can keep the amounts off the label, but that's where being an educated consumer comes in.

Pre-workouts can provide additional phosphates to help lifters squeeze out extra reps and provide a "pump" which is actually the body pushing more blood into the muscles. Both of those can provide a slight advantage to lifters.

They are only regulated after release and sufficient complaint, I.e. Heavy metals in muscle milk or the use of ephedrine in weight loss supplements. They are not regulated by the food and drug administration. Also there is no set standard for what "proprietary blend"means. This means the concentration of the ingredients in most supplements is unknown and you need to take the company's word for it. They say this is to protect the make up of the supplement. But, drug companies can't do that. They must be approved for release prior to hitting the market and they still have issues with regulation.

A lot of their effect is also a placebo, but hey.....if it puts you in that mindset to train harder, then I feel it's beneficial. I think I'm going to start making my own stim-free pre workout though and create more of a pump product.

Coffee is my preworkout of choice 99% of the time. When I need a little extra boost to make sure I make it through training, I use Rivalus Powder Burn 2.0.

Competing in two tested federations, I like the fact that it is informed choice, one of the very few preworkouts that is.

Yeah, I like pre for the pumps. I am too accustomed to the stimulants now. They do nothing for me. Hemavo2 is my favorite right now

Which means nothing to 99.999+% people reading these boards. If you're training as a pro athlete, maybe, the rest of us would be better off saving the $.
