You fit it in when you can. Sit down and write out your commitments for the next week or two. Identify the open time slots. Fit your workouts into some of those spots. That's exactly what I do each week.

being a new mom, I would fit it in when baby sleeps... OR while Hubby/Partner is watching baby or right after work on your way home

I do mine before and after work. With a baby, work it into your routine. You can take baby on walks and jogs. Also check for stroller stride classes in your area. Try dvds or online videos while baby sleeps.

When my babies were tiny I wore them in a wrap or soft structured carrier for long walks. We all loved it.

Whenever you have time. Strap the baby on, or in and get moving.

Use body weight workouts even in 10-15 minute sessions babies usually love watching people. Push-ups, jumping jacks, running in the spot, squats, lunges, inverted rows using a sturdy chair or table for support, mountain climbers, etc. just do what you can when you can.

I say take the baby with you in a stroller or carrier. I used to walk for hours when they were smaller with them in the double stroller- I couldn't get work done without child care, so I figured I might as well be out and about. My kids are a bit older now, and it took me awhile to adjust to them being too big to put in a stroller, but too small to go very fast. Now I try to run while I help them practice bike riding (ages 4 and 6). We do this after work/school and on weekends. The older one is starting to ride circles around me but it definitely still works with the younger one. Also, don't be too hard on yourself- do what makes you feel good in terms of exercise, not what other people make you think you should be doing.

Schedule a daily walk with the baby, and if you like going to the gym or doing other physical activities where a baby cannot be involved, plan these for the weekends and let the baby bond for a couple of hours with dad.

Squeeze it in where you can. I see a lot of mommy and me style workouts that includes quality time with the baby while mom gets fit. I just googled mommy and me workouts and came up with a ton of stuff! Best of luck. :0)

I would simply walk with the stroller. Pushing one up hills gets the heart pumping. :) Or I would carve out 30mins a day somewhere to do something at home on my own. A video or run on the treadmill.

When my kids were little, I'd go to the gym in the evening after they went to bed and their dad stayed home with them. These days, I'm sometimes at the gym at 5:00 am, running at lunch, or yoga at 8:00 at night - wherever there's an opening I can find. When you have free time, you can choose to lay down or you can choose to exercise. It's that simple.

I do it when my workday is over usually...have a home office and I have the option of doing it whenever, but I find once I'm done working out, the very last thing I want to do is sit back down at a desk, so 7:30 in the evening has been the easiest to stick to. On the weekends I usually do it before anyone else gets up, or not at all..

Good question.. It's eye opening to see how everyone is different and what they can or choose to do based on lifestyle and responsibilities... Life does just get in the way sometimes...

I am in a good spot on the working out because I work out of my home..

If I had to leave my house at a certain time or had kids still living at home then I would have to get up way before everyone else to knock it out.. I am not an afternoon or evening workout person at all .. even working at home...

When my kids were little I mainly took them for walks or jogs. I would also go to the gym a couple times a week when my husband was home. I preferred not to workout at home.

Yup. This is what I did when my babies were little. Hiking/walking w them in a carrier, then running when they were big enough to be in the jogging stroller.

I sacrifice my lunch hour for lifting. It's the only time I can fit it in being a single mom working a full time job with 2 kids at home. If it's a priority, you'll find the time for it.

I do bodyweight/suspension strap workouts in the morning before most of my household is up. Sometimes I have to break to get my two year old breakfast, but I find if I can get up a 1/2 hr before everyone else is up, I can knock out a solid workout. Plus it's only a 1/2hr, and I can do it in my PJs if I want.
