I seem to have a self control problem. But tomorrow is another day...

True, one good technique is to have a smaller breakfast, or do what I do, completely eliminate breakfast as a meal, then have a medium sized lunch, and a large dinner. After dinner you'll be really full and won't be hungry or looking for something to eat. Just a thought...

You could save up some calories so that eating at night is part of the plan. Maybe saving a lot, for a meal, would work. Maybe saving a few, for some blueberries or raspberries (they're fiberlicious!) would do the trick.

If not, you need to break that bad habit. It's not easy, but it is doable. I did it and so have others.

For me, I ate dinner and I was done. There was no, "But I want to..." and "Should I..." etc. There was no doubt, no question, no waffling, no nothing. The second I considered eating, I dismissed the idea. FWIW, it didn't take long for Not Eating to become a habit.

What do you mean by "i do fine"? You're not supposed to "break" if you really do fine. Check if you are restricting too much, calories or one or more nutrients. Maybe eat more earlier in the days, or save calories for a bigger meal at night. Do what work for you.

Ahh! I'm guilty of that too. I find that if I plan out my day better I won't stuff my face when I get home from work. Also more fiber for snacks. You got this!!!

Being famished by nightfall is not good... Look at your diet... Is it possible that you aren't eating enough? Also I find that I get very hungry with the onset of colder weather ... As if my body wants a hibernation cushion...

A suggestion is that you consider adding an evening snack to your food prep... Something with a good protein/carb/healthy fat balance

Perhaps you aren't eating enough calories during the day, causing you to be starving by dinner. There's a rule that goes, "Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper", though I think that doesn't always work well for people's schedules. On vacations, we always tend to have big meals in the middle of the day and a smaller meal/snack at dinnertime. Works well :) But you may also want to consider your weekly weight loss goal. 1-1.5 lbs/week is more sustainable long term and doesn't require you to starve.

Just saw you only have 10 lbs to lose- make that goal .5 lb.

I now save enough calories that I can have a big dinner and dessert. Has been working.
