Calories are calories. Regardless of what the source of calories is they must be balanced with calories out. There is no such thing as eating unlimited calories in any sustainable weight control program.

This isn't to knock any lifestyle or diet choices , but the science of CICO is well proven.

When I switched to vegan diet for a friend to help her do some diet/cleanse thing I felt like crap for two weeks (probably the learning curve for plant protein and getting enough while still working out) but then had so much energy after my coworkers thought I was on drugs. I never felt so great in my life! I slept better, had more energy to exercise and saw gains in lifting, and (tmi) I had the best poops evah! Switched back after 2 months but still mostly eat veggie diet. Felt like crap eating meat/ dairy again!

You can not eat unlimited calories of any thing without gaining weight.

Can I also warn any body that does "Research" the vegan life style then you tube is probably not the best place to start. There are some very good vegan threads on here. I'll try find you one and paste it in.
