Weight loss help please

Hi all,
Sorry to bother you all. I have been trying to lose weight for a while (on and off). I started seriously trying and logging everything after Christmas last year. Since then I have lost a stone and now weigh 11st 2lbs. I weigh myself every Sunday morning before breakfast (keeping everything constant).
I am looking for some help and advice with this. I have altered my diet so it has become healthier (less chocolate and more fruit and veg). I have been keeping to 1200 calories a day, and have been trying to do 10000 steps a day (I have a Fitbit tracker). Although recently I have only had time to get to 8000-9000 steps.
For the last 6 months I have been fluctuating between 11st 4lbs and 11st 2lbs. I've been trying really hard to break into 10st. As mentioned earlier, I eat healthier and weigh everything as well as try to get to 10000 steps per day.
I know that weight loss is slow, but I have been stuck like this for 6 months. If I lost 1lb a week I would be at my goal weight (9st) for my wedding. I would really like to have a flat stomach by then, or at least a smaller stomach (I hate my stomach as it is right now).
Even though I have lost a stone I have not seen any difference in my clothes size, I am still the same as I was when I started.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you use a food scale to weigh all your foods?0

If you aren't losing, you need to eat less, move more or both. You will soon be told to weigh your food. It's not the worst idea. It can be helpful! Give it some thought.
Good luck.0 -
I am not a low carber. I want to change my diet in a sustainable fashion. But I wonder if, in your case, going low carb might be a good solution. Especially if you find yourself getting close to your wedding date without getting the results you want. Eating low carb causes you to retain a lot less water. You may not be losing the fat any faster, but you may get the look you want.0

You're most likely eating too much. Especially if you eat back exercise calories, since MFP overestimates calorie burns. If you don't weigh all your food on a food scale, there is a lot of room for error.0

I have to agree with all of the above...managing your diet more closely will help the weight come off. Weigh your food and make sure you really are only eating 1200 calories a day.
Exercise is a great bonus that will give you a few more calories (if you eat your exercise calories back) and will help you feel better! But your diet is what will affect your weight loss more.0 -
I do weigh my food with an electronic scales. I leave my exercise calories as is, I don't eat them back. I do also put in more vegetables and have less carbs like pasta and couscous.
Thank you for your advice. It might be that I need to drink more water.0 -
Uh, I'm not trying to be rude to you, but drinking more water is not what's going to change what's going on. Water is great to keep you hydrated, yes, but you haven't been stalling for six months due to your water intake. That's not possible.0

I second this! If you are not losing weight then there is something with your calorie counting.0
